2020 Conference Proposal Submission

Vision 2020: Fundraising for a Clear Future:  How to build an inspired, mission-driven, high achieving development department is the foucs of the 2020 TACCF conference. 

 We are looking for presentations that are:

  • Mission-focused: Does this presentation pertain to Texas community college missions? Will it help focus the time and talent on mission-critical initiatives?
  • Practical: Does your presentation provide information that is immediately useful in practice?
  • Innovative: Does your presentation introduce transformative ideas with an emphasis on increasing fundraising success.
  • Challenging: While the conference includes a number of less experienced staff, presentations should give substantial value to the many seasoned fundraising executives attending.
  • Interactive:  Does the presentation incorporate an activity component for active learning? Not mandatory, but we are looking for at least 2-3 interactive sessions.
  • Topics might include: Asking, Prospect Research,  Major Gifts, Alumni Relations, Stewardship-Cultivation-Donor Cycle, Planned Giving, Finding-Growing-Keeping Talent, Foundation Grants, Investment Management strategies for assets, Scholarship programs, Annual Fund programs, Unique Special Events, ROI assessment, Board Development, Sharing your Story, etc.

In addition to the pre-conference, opening and closing sessions, the conference committee is seeking to fill eight (8) sessions.

Prior to submitting a session proposal, please read these important guidelines:

The deadline for submission of proposals is Saturday, November 9, 2019, by 11:59 p.m.

  • All conference presentations are one hour in length. Please allow sufficient time in your planning for Q&A and audience participation.
  • All sessions will be held during the annual conference on Feb. 13, San Antonio .
  • Educational or corporate partners, consultants or other presenters not employed at an educational institution are welcome. However, it is preferred they co-present with an institutional partner and presentations must be informational in nature, not an overview of what the company offers.
